Beverly Moore
Known for her en plein air paintings and contemporary impressionistic style, California artist Beverly Moore states:
"Art and painting have been an integral part of my life. At age 12, I began formal art training, and was introduced to and worked in several mediums. The richness, luscious colors, texture and dynamic brushstrokes in oil all sang to me, and I have worked in oil ever since."
Moore has an extensive professional background in advertising, creative writing, design and illustration. Two painters she especially admires, Bonnard and Toulouse-Lautrec, were extremely successful artists who also created advertising designs with creative and exciting use of color and form.
Painting has been a life-long passion. A knowledgeable and sensitive use of color allows Moore to express on canvas her emotional interpretation of time and place. Composition, space relationships, color, light and shadow are key in her en plein air land and seascapes, figurative and still life work.
Moore has studied art in Minnesota, France, Arizona and California, and participates regularly in a variety of art workshops.
